Method
How these predicted points are calculated
Each player starts with a scoring rate: last season's points per 90 minutes, blended with a prior based on their price. Price carries real information, because the game prices players on expected output.
That rate is then scaled three ways: by expected minutes, so rotation risks and bench players are marked down; by availability, so injuries and suspensions reduce the projection; and by fixture difficulty, gameweek by gameweek, so a good player facing a hard run projects lower than the same player facing an easy one.
These are pre-season numbers and should be read as relative rankings rather than exact forecasts. Use them to compare players, not to predict a scoreline.
